Neat Trick

Here we are with a story reused straight from the invisible waves of the interweb - apologies to those of you who've already read this, but its a very neat trick that we just had to share.

Engage Cut & Paste functions>>>

How to seal a bag and make it air-tight!
Don't grapple with rubber bands that are tied too tightly!

Cut up a disposable water bottle and keep the neck and top,
as in photo.

Insert the plastic bag through the neck and screw the top - to seal.

The bottle is made to be air-tight, such that water will not leak,
the secret lies with the top and screw!
This is a great idea to share. Good for us and the environment too.

New address

Hello!
The new site is almost plausible, so this is the last post here on blogspot. After today you'll need to be checking in on www.maaike.com.au, which is still blogtastic, just a little more portfolio friendly.

I'm working on getting the feed and email subscriptions up and running on the new site. Those of you who want to keep receiving email updates will need to re register your wishes when I get it together later in the week.

Photos of things you missed in the lead up to and duration of exhibition are being posted over at the new site so don't forget to check it out at www.maaike.com.au/blog

Breathe

Hello!
I've been somewhat of a monorail mind of late, thank you for continuing to check up on me in spite of that! I'd say after this, there's probaby only one post left on the topic. Max.

Exhibition is well underway and will wrap up on Wednesday. Opening night was  fantastic fun for me, with not only friends and family rocking up, but blog followers and past purchasers and future commissioners. Thank you for being a part of it - by reading, by visiting, by looking me up after the show.

There was wine, cheese and an amazing bouquet of orchids. Enough to make a girl consider having another exhibition at some point in the future... the reasonably distant future...
My brother, a man of many talents flew up from Melbourne to demonstrate two of my favourite - heavy lifting and photography.  Some of his candid snaps are below. I'm still wading through the portfolio shots, and promise I will soon post pics of the chairs that haven't made it online yet.

Baby steps back in the blogging life for now, web development is fast becoming my day job, which makes it a touch less appealing after hours. This is also my excuse for posting on the old site as I've yet to iron out the kinks at maaike.com.au
